Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Use your life experience to help others? Gain work experience? Make friends? Develop your personal skills? Enhance you CV? There are many opportunities for volunteering within Home Start, both working directly with families or supporting the scheme.

Home-Start Deveron is currently recruiting volunteers to undertake the forthcoming volunteer training course which will allow volunteers to provide support to local families, helping them overcome issues which make daily life a struggle. Home-Start Deveron volunteers are often parents themselves, or have parenting experience. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families in times of need. Just a few hours per week can make all the difference. We are especially lacking in male volunteers and would love to hear from you if you are interested in becoming a volunteer!
