I am Fiona Mathers one of the founder members of Home Start Deveron (established in 1999) and Trustee/Chair on the Board of Directors.  I am married with two grown up daughters, one step son and one step daughter.  I am a graduate of Aberdeen College and Aberdeen Business School and have over twenty five years of practical experience in working within the voluntary/third sector.

Three years ago I started my own Coaching business and I now work with individuals and organisations encouraging and motivating personal and professional development.

Home Start Deveron is a great example of combined commitments and community wide achievements from a diverse pool of enthusiastic volunteers. WE have experienced many changes over the years and overcome many difficult challenges, the ability to secure on-going funding being one of them.

We strive to reach the families that need us the most, those who are particularly isolated and for those who need a listening ear when parenting throws up more questions than answers. Our family requests are as varied as our ability to respond to them and we have all learned to be adaptable and flexible.

As an organisation we try to be as open and transparent as is possible, and we continue to try to raise our profile within the local communities.  We welcome new ideas and suggestions and encourage new relationships, partnerships and networks that can help to add value to our team and our services.
