A summary of 2011 at Home-Start Deveron

Home-Start Deveron operates throughout the Deveron valley area, serving Aberchirder, Banff, Huntly, Macduff, Portsoy, Turriff and surrounding areas.

During this year volunteers have continued to provide support to families in their own homes and are currently supporting approximately 15 families. Our group sessions are also well attended, with approximately 30 families currently receiving support. Baby massage classes have remained popular and are received positively by parents and babies. This year has also seen the introduction of Bookbug sessions, which encourage singing, rhyme and learning. We also held Confidence To Cook sessions, hands-on cooking sessions designed to encourage parents to cook healthy nutritious meals.
